تبارك مؤسسة عدن للحقوق والتنمية افتتاح طريق عدن – الضالع – دمت – صنعاء، معتبرة أن إعادة فتح هذا الطريق الحيوي تُشكّل خطوة إنسانية واقتصادية بالغة الأهمية، تسهم في تخفيف معاناة المواطنين، وتسهيل تنقلهم بين المحافظات، وتمكينهم من الوصول إلى الخدمات الأساسية.
وتاكد المؤسسة أن الطريق يُعد شريانًا رئيسياً مهمًا لحركة التنقل والتجارة، وسيسهم في إنعاش النشاط الاقتصادي وتخفيف تكاليف النقل، ويُعيد الأمل لآلاف الأسر التي عانت من الانقطاع والعزلة خلال السنوات الماضية.
كما تشدد المؤسسة على أهمية إزالة الألغام ومخلفات الحرب من جانبي الطريق، وإنشاء منطقة آمنة خالية من أي مظاهر عسكرية، تلتزم بها جميع الأطراف، بما يضمن سلامة وأمان المدنيين أثناء العبور.
وفي هذا السياق، تاكد المؤسسة أن فريق حل النزاعات وحماية المدنيين في الضالع قد عمل على ملف الطرقات ونحج سابقاً في فتح طريقاً فرعيا، وعمل على فتح الطرقات الرئيسية سابقاً كان آخرها في العام الماضي في شهر رمضان من خلال التنسيق والتواصل الجيد رغم تعثر ذلك، وكل المحاولات السابقة ، سيعمل فريق حل النزاعات وحماية المدنيين مع السلطات المحلية الجهات الأمنية والعسكرية المحلية على تعزيز إجراءات الحماية للمدنيين، وضمان استدامة فتح الطريق دون تهديدات تمس أمن وسلامة العابرين.
كما تدعو المؤسسة المانحين الدوليين والجهات المختصة إلى دعم جهود إعادة ترميم الطريق بشكل عاجل، وتنفيذ إشارات مرورية وإرشادية واضحة حفاظًا على سلامة المواطنين، مشددة على أهمية تدريب الكوادر الأمنية على القوانين الإنسانية، وتوفير المعدات والأدوات اللازمة التي تمكّنها من أداء واجبها بشكل منتظم وسلس دون تاخير في العبور .
في الختام التأكيد على أن هذه الجهود تُعد جزءًا أساسيًا من حماية المدنيين، وتكفل استمرارية استخدام الطريق كممر إنساني يخدم المواطنين كافة.

The Aden Foundation for Rights and Development warmly welcomes the reopening of the Aden–Al-Dhalea–Damt–Sana'a road, viewing it as a vital humanitarian and economic milestone that will significantly ease the suffering of citizens, facilitate movement between governorates, and improve access to essential services.
The Foundation affirms that this road represents a critical lifeline for transportation and trade. Its reopening will help revitalize economic activity, reduce transportation costs, and restore hope for thousands of families who have endured years of isolation and hardship.
The Foundation also stresses the importance of clearing landmines and remnants of war along both sides of the road and establishing a secure, demilitarized zone where all parties commit to ensuring civilian safety during transit.
In this context, the Foundation confirms that the Conflict Resolution and Civilian Protection Team in Al-Dhalea has previously worked on road access efforts, successfully reopening a secondary road, and has been engaged in reopening major routes—including a notable attempt last Ramadan—through effective coordination and communication despite setbacks. The team will continue its efforts in coordination with local authorities, as well as security and military entities, to strengthen civilian protection measures and ensure the road remains open and safe for all travelers.
Furthermore, the Foundation calls on international donors and relevant authorities to urgently support road rehabilitation efforts, install clear traffic signs and signals to protect road users, and train security personnel on international humanitarian law. It also urges the provision of the necessary tools and equipment to enable these personnel to perform their duties efficiently and without delay.
In conclusion, the Foundation reiterates that these collective efforts are a fundamental part of protecting civilians and ensuring the sustainable use of the road as a humanitarian and commercial lifeline that benefits all Yemenis.
